I decided to bake bagels at home and I am so happy with the final result that I wanted to share it with you.
I followed the recipe of Sophisticated Gourmet because it was not using any mixer. Not only I do not own a proper mixer for bread and dough but I really wanted to try kneading.
I used Chapatti flour because where I live in Dubai I did not find easily bread flour – and I did not have the patience to wait until I found it 😀 The result looks pretty good to me, what do you think?
I was happily surprised to see that it is actually quite easy to do. It does take a while because of the proofing time, but there is nothing difficult.
I popped some seeds on some of them and left the most of them plain as I knew I would have to freeze the extras.
That’s it for me guys, I just wanted to share the excitement! Let me know if you try the recipe and how it turns out 🙂
We went to a brunch and so I needed an outfit formal enough to be in public and casual enough to be in the heat and by the beach.
I think those crop tops can be super flattering because they enhance the bust – which is my slimmer part 😀 – and paired with high waisted pants they do not expose too much skin.
Speaking of high waisted pants, can we take a moment for those – not so discreet – beauties? In case you didn’t know I have a full on passion for loud prints and patterns, so of course, I immediately loved this print.
The sun is finally back in Dubai so I seized the opportunity to take a few shots in my favorite decor : flowers! How gorgeous are those Bougainvilleas by the way?
I am a normal person: I love to be comfy on the weekends, so I love all the tricks to look somehow put together but still feel like i’m in my PJs. And this outfit is clearly inspired by that. It is super comfortable yet I think the black is a safe option, I added bright shoes, lips and bag, a touch of gold jewelry and rolled with it. I really like the final look!
I love the Gingham trend and told you it would be back on the blog! I saw this black and white top, with the frills details and the flared sleeves… love.
One more time, it comes from Zara. I feel like this Spring’s collection was made for me and more generally, over the years Zara’s been very much down my street.
This outfit is completely monochromatic but I enjoyed it that way – for once. I only gave it a kick with the red lips (Sephora, cream lip stain, it’s bomb). Of course I paired it with my favorite combo of the moment : Converse and Betty x Lancaster handbag.
Top : Zara (I couldn’t find it online but bought it very recently 😉
Pants : Zara (last year’s collection)
Shoes : Converse
Bag : Betty x Lancaster
Living in Dubai can have some advantages and we really had a good time taking a few pictures between the palms.
On another note, I am fully enjoying the gingham trend. I love this short dress and how versatile it is: I could wear it on top of jeans as well as tights, giving it a completely different look. This look is very casual, because it is the weekend y’know, but it would easily be dressed up with fancier pants and classier shoes.
I hope you’re enjoying the gingham, because there’s more to come… 🙂
I’ve been looking for a skirt like this one, ballet dancer style, for a while. However to be honest it has been hard to style. It is very girly so I went all the way with a feminine shirt, and paired it with my favorite combo of the moment : leather jacket, leather black Converse and Betty x Lancaster handbag.
Skirt : Zara
Shirt : Zara
Leather Jacket : Zara (similar here)
Sneakers : Converse
